When I began writing Let’s Grow Leaders this Summer, I had no idea of the remarkable adventure that had begun.
It has been a journey of introspection, challenge, connection, friendships, support and collaboration.
I am deeply grateful for the growing international community of followers and subscribers who share their insights and add to the conversation. I am delighted by the growing network of thought leaders with whom I learn every day. I am humbled by those who so frequently comment and enrich the dialogue, particularly for Steve Borek, who began commenting early and often, and always enhances the post.
I’ve been working to digest the traffic and trends to interpret which posts and topics have been most helpful as I work to plan for 2013.
What would be even more useful would be your candid feedback. What would you like to see as we continue to grow on our leadership journeys?
Let’s Grow Together
- What topics would be most useful?
- Do you prefer conceptual conversation or practical advice?
- Are the stories helpful?
- What about guest posts, would you like more or less?
- I have tried running a few special series on Saturdays, how do those feel?
- If you are not a subscriber, what would encourage you to subscribe?
- What types of posts are you most likely to share with others?
- How can I better encourage your comments?
- What ideas do you have for enhancing the Let’s Grow Leaders Facebook page?
- What other ideas do you have?
I would appreciate any ideas and insights as I work to grow Let’s Grow Leaders in 2013. Please share any ideas you have in the comments, or send me an email at [email protected].
First, as a subscriber, it’s reassuring to see you want to do what’s best for us…your audience. I appreciate following blogs that are wrote by genuine people who want to help expand my horizon.
I enjoyed the Saturday series. It’s actually what first lead me to your blog. And, if you don’t mind….I totally plan to copy that on my blog.
I also really like when you mix conceptual and practical throughout your post.
I find it easiest to comment when you have a direct question or two? And, the fact that you engage in the comments is also encouraging.
Best of luck in 2013. Your content is helpful and intelligent. It’s also inspiring. I look forward to your continued posting. And, I was shocked to read you just started this past summer….your blog seems more “mature” then just a few months old.
Eric, Thanks so much for all of you kind words. I truly appreciate starting to know you through the blog, all of your comments and the guest post. I am excited to follow your blog as it takes off and look forward to your series on kids.
I’d like to see videos of you dancing. You look like you’re a great dancer. Just a hunch. (tongue in cheek)
I think you do a good job of mixing up the delivery from personal stories to takes on books and positions on articles.
Karin, what would you like to do differently?
p.s. Thanks for the mention. Your posts arrive early so it’s easy for me to make a comment while I’m drinking my hot morning beverage and occasionally spilling food on my laptop.
Steve, thanks so much… and thanks for the question about what I would like to do differently. I am on vacation now thinking a bit about that. I would like to do whatever would really help someone working on their leadership. The most inspiring is when someone says to me…”I read your post, and it was so helpful… and I did x as a result.” I am also considering writing more on themes, so that it someday could go more easily into a book…. need a few more sun salutations though until that thought is crystalized. P.S. I am much better at yoga and running than dancing. Namaste.
Karin – keep up the good work. You do a great job. Just keep adding to what you are currently doing. I enjoy your stuff and look forward to reading and resending them out. Have a great New Year! Keep leading! Don’t hold back anything. Try and experiment.
John, Thanks so much. I have enjoyed getting to know you in the online leadership community this year. I admire your work. Looking forward to learning with you in 2013.
